Who We Are
Jason Duckowitz - Owner/Craftsman
Jason grew up around builders and craftspeople and did his first carpentry apprenticeship in 1996. He explored all facets of construction in his early career before settling into high end finish carpentry where he spent over a decade honing his craft. His love of construction led to a growing passion in the design process and after earning his associates degree at night and working during the day, he was accepted into the University of Washington’s Architecture department where he earned his B-ARCH degree in 2012. After several years working in Architecture, Jason returned to construction in a design-build role and in 2015 started Contour Design Build while living in Bend, OR. After several successful years in Central Oregon, Jason moved to Whidbey Island to be closer to family and is now operating out of Langley, WA and serving the South Island Community.
Michelle Weiss - Controller
Michelle grew up north of Seattle and earned her first degree in Philosophy from the University of Washington in 2002. She later found a talent for numbers and returned to earn her accounting degree from Central Washington University in 2011. Michelle has worked for several large companies including one of Seattle’s top general contractors, and brings this experience and professionalism to Contour Design Build. She is the proud mother of two amazing boys and when not working can be found trail running or mountain biking on the trails of the beautiful PNW.
Jax - Captain of Morale
Jax is the newest addition to Contour Design Build, but by far the most valuable. He is a faithful jobsite companion, and loves to chase scrap pieces of wood and beg for treats.
